Place of Birth
Nickname and why?
Baz / Bazza just a standard shortened last name with ‘z’
Years at Waratahs?
Started in 2013/14 so this will be my 5th season.
Our club tag line is “Bleed Blue”. What does Bleed Blue mean to you?
That everything you do is for Manly; the club, the community, and the lads.
Who is the current Manly Cricketer that you enjoy playing cricket with the most and why?
Jack Ritchie because he has so much passion for this club and a bucket load of knowledge of the game.
Favourite band or musician?
No one in particular just whatever’s on the radio.
If you could invite any 3 people to dinner, dead or alive, who would it be?
Will Ferrell, Donald Trump and Gandhi
What is your earliest memory?
Having throwdowns for a good hour to be cleaned up first ball.
Which Waratah team mate is the classiest dresser?
Tommy Kaye #Neonmodelmanagement
If the Manly Cricket playing group was Big Brother, who would you vote off first?
Jordan Daly. Not sure what goes through that guy’s head but it’s not for Big Brother.
Who do you think is in-line for a huge season this year?
Zach Trewartha to hit a couple of 60 ball Tons.
What are your team goals for 2017/18?
I think all teams in the club have the ability to make finals and win the Premiership so that should be the ultimate goal for everyone.
What puts a big smile on your face?
Good banter and the lads getting around each other on and off the pitch.
If James Sutherland gave you the top for 1 day, what would you change about cricket in Australia.
I don’t think I’d change much. Maybe just make the pay amongst all players more equal and chuck more money into Grade Cricket.
If you had an all expenses paid trip anywhere in the world for a week, where would you go?
The Maldives or somewhere with crystal clear water and perfect temperatures.
If you could go back in time and give anyone a piece of advice, who would it be and why?
Probably tell myself to not have a hack before the moment I’ve gotten out in such a fashion and nurdle it for 1 instead.
If you could walk out to bat to any song blaring in the background, what would it be and why?
Great Southern Land – just a classic track
What are you currently saving up to buy?
A first car or overseas trip would be nice. Might need a job for that, however.
What is your place of solace?
The change room showers post 4th duck in a row.
Aiden Bariol is proudly sponsored by Guzman Y Gomez Manly for the 2017/18 season.
Like all great revolutionaries, Guzman y Gomez (GYG) Mexican Taquería started with one simple passionate belief: that the hearts and palates of Australia would embrace the authentic flavours and traditional techniques of one of the world’s great cuisines… Mexican! GYG’s authentic menu combines an array of slow roasted and grilled meats, fish, fresh vegetables and imported Mexican chillies and spices and is prepared to order.
Mark our words, you can’t leave Manly without trying one of their new cali burrito’s. A normal burrito filled with…… fries. It doesn’t get any better.
From soft and hard shell tacos to burritos and nachos, this is Mexican cuisine for those short on time, who don’t want to compromise on quality, flavour or nutrition.
Also don’t forget the Manly Mates Rates offer from GYG Manly of a 10% discount on all food and alcohol on presentation of your Club Card.
