Osborne and Watts selected for NSW U15 Schools

Osborne and Watts
Green Shield squad members Jake Osborne and Ben Watts have been selected in the NSW U15 Schools side.

They will be competing at the upcoming NSW U15 National Schools carnival to be held in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast from the 26th March and 2nd April.

Ben has been on the radar of the powers that be at Cricket NSW for some time now, and has shown his prowess with some great performances in both Green Shield and 5th grade this year.

His left arm orthodox spin has reaped 24 wickets at an average of 13.92 across both competitions, including 2 five wicket hauls.

Jake has also had a stellar junior career, breaking various records in the local junior competition, and had a breakout year in Green Shield this season.

He scored 195 runs at 39.00 in Green Shield to be the team’s top scorer.

Jake has also made his 5th grade debut this year.

The boys follow the footsteps of recent Waratah young guns Edwards, Vumbaca, Bariol and Davies in playing in the tournament, which is a precursor to the National U/17 champs in 2 year’s time.

The team will also be coached by St Augustine’s head of cricket James Scholtzen.

We wish both Ben, Jake and James the best of luck across the entire tournament.
