Remembrance Day at Manly Oval – Saturday 11th November

This coming Saturday is a very important day in the calendar, although one that is probably not given the recognition it deserves.

On the 11th day of the 11th Month is Remembrance Day. It marks the day World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, back in 1918.

A two-minute silence is held at 11am to remember the people who have died in wars

As such, the Manly Warringah Waratahs are planning to have a minute silence this coming Saturday at Manly Oval at 11am during the 2nd grade match (which starts at 10.30am).  We have arranged for a bugler and the ode will be read from the balcony., and multiple veterans associated withe the club will be present.

We encourage anyone who would like to attend to come on down.

4th grade will be playing around the corner at Grahams, but the players can park on the apron of Manly Oval for the quick ceremony.
