Rules and Structure

That's right folks, the MWDCC Isaacs Cole Chartered Accountants Team Pursuit is back bigger and better in 2011/12.

Aims

  • The aim of the Team Pursuit is to promote cross-grade interaction and support, to encourage social attendances, and further encourage club sponsor support by the clubs players. Club Spirit and Club Culture are the 2 main beneficiaries.

Competition Structure

  • Players will be split up into 11 teams of 5 players per team, with one player from each grade in each team.
  • Teams get point for runs, wickets, catches, post match function attendance, club contribution, among other things. The team with the most points at the end of each competition will receive $1,000.
  • To be eligable, half of the after match functions at Manly Bowling Club must be attended by atleast 70% of your team members during each competition. Attendance counts as showing your face at Manly Bowling Club in the middle of matches, and attending the after match presentation at the conclusion of each match.
  • There will be 2 competitions, a Pre Christmas Competition and a Post Christmas Competition.
  • The Pre Christmas competition will go into lockdown 2 rounds before the Christmas Break. The Winning Team will be announced at the Christmas Party. Christmas Party attendance will count towards Post Christmas Competition Points.
  • The Post Christmas competition will go into lockdown 2 rounds before the end of the season. The Winning Team will be announced at the End of Season Presentation. Presentation attendance will count towards Post Christmas Competition Points.
  • All Teams Points will start from 0 again at the beginning of the Post Christmas Competition.
  • Teams will remain the same for both competitions.

Points System

  • 15 points for each facebook "Like" a player gets from friends, family or colleagues. Limit of 300 points per competition. Let Adam Gummer or Joel Mason know the person involved.
  • 1 Point per run, with 100 bonus points for a century, and 150 bonus points for 150 runs or more.
  • 20 Points per wicket, with 100 bonus points for a 5 wicket haul.
  • 15 points per catch, with a bonus 70 points for a 5 catch haul.
  • 15 points per stumping, with 100 bonus points for a 5 stumping haul.
  • 100 Points for after match attendance, with a bonus 50 points if all of your Team Members (or at least 5 members) attend the after match function. There will be a Team Pursuit Representative taking note of attendances at after each match. Coming to the Manly Bowling Club constitutes as after match attendance. Staying in dressing rooms does not!
  • 40 Points for Social Function Attendances throughout the season, e.g. Christmas Party, End of Season Presentation, Player Pre Season Party, with 100 bonus points for entire team attendance.
  • 60 points if a family Member, friend or colleague becomes a 2011/12 Manly Cricket Gold Member
  • Points will be awarded for the purchasing of a Sponsor’s Products or Services. 1 point per dollar spent (Max of 300 points per player per sponsor for each competition). Provide receipt to Joel Mason or Club Captains.
  • 50 points will be awarded for those that are Members of Harbord Diggers / Manly Bowling Club. Need to provide proof of membership to redeem points.
  • 100 points if any sponsorship is brought into the club.

Team Structure

  • All Players who play 1st Grade to 5th Grade will be allocated to a team. However, players must play a minimum of 4 games in the Pre Christmas Competition and a minimum of 3 games in the Post Christmas competition to be eligible for the prize money. The prize money will be distributed pro-rata based on the number of games played by each member of the winning team.
  • Each player that plays for Manly, whether all season or for one game, will be allocated to a team.
  • Each team should play a set amount of games between them. Teams who play more games than they should will be adjusted down based on average points per game, and similarly, teams who play less games than they should will be adjusted up.
