Green Shield is the premier junior cricket competition in Australia and is played by all 20 Sydney Grade Clubs. It is played by junior cricketers who are under 16 years of age, and is the stepping stone for juniors coming into the grade ranks at MWDCC. Manly has a great history in this competition, taking it out on 7 occasions in its history, the last being by the Simon Couch (current MWDCC physio) led team of 1991-92. Manly finished runner up in the 2009-10 competition.
