Tim Cruickshank

Full Name?
Timothy Dale Cruickshank

Date Of Birth?
19/05/1984

Junior Club?
Peninsula CC

How many years have you been at Manly?
Too Many

Nickname/s and why?
Shank, Doctor, Tucky, Lim, TC, Top Cat, Crooky and even Crooksy according to the Sydney Thunder website. All pointless really!

Highest score. Against who?
203 vs Sydney CC 10/11

You have recently signed with the Sydney Thunder in the 20/20 Big Bash League. Who are you most excited to play with and against?
Of course Chris Gayle. Will hopefully earn a few cool points from just being in his presence!  Against- Taking on Shaun Tait.

Most embarrassing moment on/off the field?
Being bowled out for 38 by Bankstown

Best cricketer you have ever played with?
Brett Lee and Michael Clarke.

You are slowly but surly closing in on the all time record for most runs scored for Manly. Have you ever thought about achieving this milestone? And what would it mean to you if you broke it?
It has only come into my mind over the past couple of years now that it has become increasingly achievable. It is something I would love to do and it would be great to be the first Manly cricketer to score 10,000 runs.

Who is your favourite manly cricket player?
I love everyone

Some have said that the Manly Daily should be re named to the Tim Cruickshank Daily because you often feature on the back page (much to the delight of the female readers). Have you ever got True Blue Collectables to do what they do best and frame one of your many back page spreads?
Excuse me? I’m not sure who would want to see my spreads but it could be a thought for the future.

If you could trade places with one person at manly, who would it be?
Any one of the quicks. I’ve always wanted to bowl fast. Either that or Maso because I love committee meetings.

Which Manly cricketer do you love playing alongside most? Past or present. Shawn Bradstreet was a great leader and I learnt a lot from him.
On the opposite end of the scale Sully was brilliant for comedic value and has given me some great memories.

You and Corrie Boss live together at the moment, which makes you guys the most attractive & eligible roommates on the northern beaches. What do you like and dislike the most about living with him?
It’s great having Bossy to cook my dinner, Iron my clothes, clean the toilet and basically free up more time for me to catch up on Fox Sports news. Dislikes- Using all the hot water whilst he’s busy applying his repertoire of face washes.

What are your goals for cricket this year?
To create a hardworking and winning culture at Manly and help prepare our younger players to become first class cricketers.

Funniest moment on/off the field?
Sully approaching the crease with a hop, skip and a jump at Waitara Oval.

How would you go about impressing the girl of your dreams?
Cooking a great meal and a nice bottle of red usually does the trick. And If available Bossy makes a great topless waiter.

True Blue collectables have a vast range of collectables from sports to models to choose from, which of the manly boys would sell best if a signed 8x10 picture of themselves were on sale?
A shirtless tribute to Sok (Stephen O’keefe) would have to be a sure cash cow!

Who do you think will take out the Single Figure Award (loosest person) this season?
Luke Edgell would usually take it out unopposed but could have some stiff competition from Sam Alexander this season. Munter is also underrated in this category.
