Full Name? Corrie Boss
Date Of Birth? 28/03/88
Junior Club? Doyalson/Wyee Junior cricket club
How many years have you been at Manly? 5 Great years
Nickname/s and why? Bossy, Hugo, Glen for obvious reasons, but my favorite is Shane O’shea (studio 54)
Best bowling. Against who? 5 for 16 against Campbelltown
Highest score. Against who? 61 against Wests
Most memorable cricket moment? Wining the 1st grade 20/20 comp, the whole day then the celebrations back at the club house will be something I will always remember.
Worst cricket moment? Being out with injury last year and watching the guys lose 1st grade limited over grand final against Sydney uni last year.
Best cricketer you have ever played with? For Manly Steven O’Keefe or Tim Cruickshank. Both of them make cricket look easy. Outside of Manly, probably David Warner he’s extremely talented and play shots 99% of cricketers couldn’t.
Who is your favorite manly cricket player? Although I never got to play with him, it would have to be Shaun Bradstreet. I have great respect for what he has done on the field as well as off. He is a manly legend and has helped my game improve massively over the last few seasons.
Simon Couch @ Chiropractic Solutions has help a lot of sore rigs get on the field for Manly over the years, with you having one of the better rigs going around how has Simon Couch Chiropractic Solutions helped you over the years? I hadn’t had much to do with Couchy until this off season actually. I underwent ankle surgery at the end of last year and Simon has gone above and beyond in developing a recovery, rehab and strengthening program as well as treating me, to get me back on the field this season. Which in turn brang me out of recovery 1 ½ months early so I couldn’t be happier. I will be seeing Couchy regularly through the season to keep me on the park.
If you could trade places with one person at manly, who would it be? Luke Edgell, just to get a first hand experience of his thought process and what exactly goes on in that head of his!!! One of the rarest humans I know.
Which manly cricketer do you love playing alongside most? Over the years I have loved playing along side Natty Hill, one of my closest mates and love playing cricket along side him. In saying that its hard not to love playing with any of the manly boys (excuse me!!) such a great bunch of blokes.
You and Tim Cruickshank live together at the moment, which makes you guys the most attractive & eligible roommates on the northern beaches. What do you like and dislike the most about living with him? For the first time moving out I couldn’t ask for a better flat mate, shank is a great man, a great cook as well. Its hard to dislike a bloke like shank but probably the only thing I dislike is circuiting with him, its hard to get a look in with the ladies when you are with him.
What are your goals for cricket this year? To play a full season injury free this year, I’m just looking forward to getting back on the park.
Funniest moment on/off the field? It was a game a couple of seasons ago we were playing Sydney uni and Greg Mail was on about 599 blocking balls for four. Sully had been given the ball and got into his delivery stride about to release a thunderbolt ( people may not know this but back when sully was on the cover of men’s health he could clock around 140km) and a fly flew into his mouth causing him to choke and fall over. 5 minutes later sully eventually dislodged the fly and play resumed. Would only happen to sully and was one of the funniest things I have ever seen on the field.
How would you go about impressing the girl of your dreams? I would have to take her out to dinner at a nice restaurant, followed by a stroll along the beach with the full moon above. Then go back to my place were I would have studio 54 on DVD ready to go. Done Deal!
You are extremely fit and injury free at the moment, no doubt Simon Couch @ Chiropractic Solutions has had plenty to do with this. How many times have you been there over the off-season? I have seen couchy about half a dozen times, and constantly been in contact with him. As I said above Couchy is a massive reason why I am 100% fit and ready to go this year and I couldn’t be happier.
Who do you think will take out the Single Figure Award (loosest person) this season? This is a tough one but Luke Edgell has got it covered easily at the moment, although we have a young Sam Alexander with a few years experience could challenge Lukey for the title.
